After finishing school, Dirk Hesse took a few years of orientation because the path outlined in the direction of natural sciences and technology (vocational school for electrical engineering later technical high school) was not exciting enough for him.

As a bass player, he became interested in making instruments at a very early age and built and sold custom-made basses as a hobby.

  •  From 1987 sales manager in the newly founded wholesaler S.M.I.L.E. Vertriebs GmbH
  •  1988 Takeover of shares in the GmbH and appointed managing director
  •  1993 Complete takeover of all shares in the GmbH and thus sole owner
  •  1999 - 2001 part-time work in a start-up company as a sales consultant for the establishment of cross-industry business relationships (Henkel, Unilever, Springer, Bertelsmann, Fraport, Bundesdrucker and many more) as well as brokerage of investments in the field of multimedia expansion of packaging and print media.
  •  2001 - 2002 part-time work in a start-up company in the field of marketing strategies for the World Wide Web.
  •  2009 - 2011 Consulting work at the wholesaler DESTILAN with the offer to become CEO. Development of an international marketing and sales strategy for the brand ALTO. Unfortunately the brand was sold shortly thereafter.
